The database technology we're using in Fathom now: - Redis (low volume, key-based storage) - DynamoDB (infinite volume, key-based storage) - SingleStore (fast, adhoc, real-time analytics) - MySQL (for smaller tables, ditching completely soon)

The most wild part about all this to me is that you're only paying $2k/month at your scale for the service, without also paying a dedicated DB engineer.
I know right. And the folks at SingleStore are so helpful. So any DB design stuff we struggled on, they helped. And then outside of that, we "set and forget"
