“Vote Leave didn't file their paperwork correctly! Putin hacked my paper ballot! The Brexit vote doesn't count!” Gentle reminder: Cameron let Remainers outspend Leavers by £5m, not including £9.3m in Govt propaganda. The establishment rigged the EU referendum – and STILL lost.

Oak trees in the U.S. south function as giant air filters, capturing soot and carbon, and the dirtier the air gets the more they capture. So I guess this means that every muni from D.C. to Fort Worth will want to plant 2-3 millions of these trees now?

Very proud of all these actors calling out the lack of diversity at award shows. I bet if they’d have known the nominations in advance they wouldn’t have even turned up in the hope of winning themselves.

This morning the BBC website is offering a children's Newsround story that hedgehogs and dragonflies are at greater risk now that we have left the EU.

  9. It's time we asked ourselves being part of the and European Court of Human Rights regime does more harm than good. Seems the only argument its defenders have for them is "they put 'human rights' in their names so they MUST be good". 🙄

  10. If the European Convention on Human Rights says we can't stop convicted terrorists from being released onto the streets automatically even if they're still dangerous, it doesn't uphold the number one "human right" to live your life in safety – and is not worth having.

Whooa! It's one thing to think anti-vaxxers, homeopaths etc are completely wrong; it's quite another to criminalise the expression of their beliefs.

The revolutionary idea of training young school leavers rather than importing minimum wage workers from another country. I wonder if it will catch on.

Agreed. Maybe we should see them as prisoners of a terrorist war that can only be released once that war is over and they are no longer deemed a threat.

    Poništi
  19. Longer terms and end of early release for *future* terror convicts won't stop another . MPs need to pass retrospective laws blocking release of ALL terror prisoners until they're deemed safe – in a day, as they did to block No Deal .

  20. . is right – Cameron and Ken Clarke scrapping indeterminate sentences to protect the public, which meant dangerous convicts could be kept inside, WAS a huge error. should reverse it – but Khan won't mention she'll have to take on the European court first?

The new Perth museum addition is an environmental disaster. They're publicly admitting they couldn't improve on the 1891 design, so just added a hideous cube. Why do we have to build like this? Are they joking? I thought of and quietly screamed on the inside.
