Forcing anyone to disclose any personal medical information as part of a process to play in a video game competition is not the wave.

then why not also ban hero for people with dyslexia? this is not me disliking the character, im perfectly fine and capable of fighting against him but i have a friend who is good at the game who literally loses to almost every hero player he faces because he has actual dyslexia

The honest answer is: it's mountains more complicated to ban a character than to ban a stage. Folks with dyslexia and other issues reading quickly are definitely at a disadvantage when it comes to Hero; I think the task would be proving that it undermines competitive integrity.

Hate to say this, but more people got rid of it for not being able to adapt with teleport recoveries, not colorblindness.

Not the concern, nor was that relevant to the conversation about whether it fit as a legal stage. A ruleset has to be accessible. For a similar example, SFV banned their Skies of Honor stage from tournament play because some players experienced motion sickness playing on it.

Wait, so what did the stage do exactly then? Just curious.
-
The lighting on it is a different style than other legal stages, and, as a result, it has very low contrast between the characters and the background (which creates huge vision issues for some folks). It also has occasional lightning flashes, which is also a potential issue.

If we're banning unova for colorblind people can we also ban hero for people with reading disabilities, and who can't read every language

And diddy kong for those susceptible to multi-level marketing.
