Amazing job at twisting all that up and then calling it Trumpian. The point was getting more people healthcare is a moral good. That’s not exactly controversial. It’s pretty universally accepted that just letting people go without treatment is immoral.

I don't understand why JR thinks that moralizing is separate from policy/politics. It's the standard for every party. Ppl are the heroes of their own story and want to feel like they are doing the right thing -- even if their motivation is selfish.

Never said anything of the sort. You’re absolutely free to moralize. And people are absolutely free to dismiss your moralizing as a crass attempt to get votes Or maybe it works on some people. I guess it’s worth a shot
