Ok but on this issue we are talking about life and death kinda stuff. I don’t know how to respect any position that isn’t one that gets everyone covered somehow.

Im not sure that’s ideology - I’ve never seen myself as ideological. It’s just wanting everyone to have the opportunity to survive illness.

What I’m saying is that there’s some Bernie supporters who would call you out for even supporting the ACA, because it’s not progressive enough, and some actually communist who would call the Bernie supporters out Most people choose to opt out of that version of the wokelympics

Bernie voted for the ACA! and I support Bernie’s Medicare for all plan. I’m for the best plan we can get.

It’s not about you

Most people just don’t have this view of politics. They don’t equate having this or that policy position with moral virtue

To me politics is all about morality. How we treat other people is crucial to our own humanity. All politics is personal. Deeply personal. When people die from lack of healthcare it’s not some abstraction, it’s a preventable human tragedy. And it happens daily.

That’s your view. And it’s not the dominant one. Most people are way more cynical about politicians and politics in general. And they’re right
