      That's the thing about the American right wing. Even if you're not a grifter - and Dreher absolutely is not, indeed he seems a decent human being - you're still susceptible to all the people who are clearly grifters because in 2019 that's the sea you're choosing to swim in.

      Peterson’s appeal is pretty obvious when you think about it. He has a fully-formed, internally consistent ethical framework that, for some people, compares quite favorably to a very capricious set of social and cultural norms that young people find themselves trying to negotiate
