Smartphones is one of those areas where I feel completely disconnected from the norm. I use an iPhone SE, because that’s what my company gave me. Wife and I do well for ourselves and have savings but neither of us can imagine dropping a G on a phone.

Most people are like you, I think. But since people like you buy phones once ever three years or whatever and enthusiasts buy every year, the market is very friendly to the latter.

I guess if I widen my pool, that’s right. Just seems that most of the people I know are on the “get the new latest phone every year or every other year” plan. Could be a misconception on my part
