Just because a university is “public” doesn’t mean it’s mostly publicly funded. Most public colleges only receive 20-30% of their funding from the state. Some less than 20%.
We can keep looking at the whole, we should just look for a longer time period. State funding has come down marginally (depending on the years you pick) but that’s obviously not what’s driving the long-term rise in tuitionpic.twitter.com/GZyEoZiOjp
