People still argue that Wax is talking about "culture" and keeps getting accused of racism because in practice, the "culturally distant" are more likely to be nonwhite. But it was Wax who brought up race in her talk at the National Conservatism conference.

What Wax does is a rhetorical trap. AW: If you discuss immigration & culture you'll be branded racist, since in effect, the good-culture people are mainly white & the bad-culture people are mainly nonwhite (also loud, dirty & gross) People: Uh, you're being kinda racist AW: See?

It’s not just Wax doing this. She’s just seems daft enough to say in plain language

Is saying what you mean in plain language wrong? An amazing number of people seem to think so. Why? I can only imagine that it would be out of a lack of intelligent argument. Is frank discussion not the essence of progressive human society (That is, progressing as civilization)?

If you want to be a racist, be a racist I don’t dare. Just stop trying to claim that concerns about “culture” aren’t just boosterism for white supremacy
