How do codetermibation and export subsidies work within an expansionary fiscal framework? Can we be Germany without their structural current account surplus? Not to mention their education model of tracking people towards the trades

For the latter there are solutions (community college, apprenticeships) that don't require early tracking. As for the macro framework, we can't be Germany, but we can be better than we are.

Don’t disagree. I do think codetermination is largely an outcome of Germany’s other policies and the overall status of workers rather than the cause of that status. But the more we can do to support non-college educated workers, the better
