Phimby is a fad; public housing has been a disaster in America, and should be a supply option of last resort. If it must exist, it should be outsourced, so facility management is done by RAD developers, not PHAs.

I wonder how many pro-public housing people have ever lived in public housing. The reality of NY’s housing projects turned me into a Republican for twenty years. Though I would support public housing if it were condos or co-ops that have residents an ownership stake
