Hard to reconcile the internet’s hard line anti-beta male stance with the quite flagrant use of “toxic masculinity.” Seems like gender essentialism is cool, so long as it supports the speakers position and abhorrent when it doesn’t

Maybe for some people, but that’s a very online usage and yours is a very online take. I’ve used the term beta offline and people understood sometquitw different
