This seems like an egregious example of the genre, but how many non-profits are running the exact same grift on a smaller scale? Wonder if anyone’s done good research on the relationship between non-profits and fundraising firms

I think there are some charity watchgroups out there. My guess is that political ones in general perform poorly.

The watchdogs are good about providing a standardized measurement of service delivery v admin costs. But there’s a whole level of convoluted vendor relationships that may not show up in those standardized methodologies
