Perhaps what our system of higher education needs is more state (supply side) support, and not more federal (demand side) support.

How does more support lower costs (whether supply side or demand side)? There are a whole bunch of factors driving up the cost of college and simply having the government transfer more revenue to schools won’t keep costs in check by itself
