      I hear Ayn Rand brought up almost exclusively by progressives in referencing how bad she and anyone who might like her is. By comparison, I almost never here Ayn Rand brought up by her fans and devotees. And I spent several years socializing in libertarian circles

      Yes. Paul Ryan mentioned Ayn Rand a handful of times, most recently in 2011, and WaPo wrote an article about it

      And you wouldn’t know that if the WaPo hadn’t wrote an article about it, which is my point. Ayn Rand gets brought up way more by her critics than by her fans, whom you generally have to go out of your way to find

      So they do take Ayn Rand seriously, but only people who disagree with her complain about that? That's just obvious. If Pelosi was so influenced by Marx that she made his writings required reading for her staff, I'd expect people on the right to talk about it the most too.

      Every day self-avowed Marxists end up on my timeline. To find a reference to someone who might be a Randian, you have to pull up a 2012 WaPo piece. My original point stands: most references to Rand are about how bad she was and anyone who likes her must be bad as well.

      What the hell are you people talking about? I said that I see Ayn Rand mentioned way more by people bringing her up to score points against the right than I actually see people on the right praising Rand. That’s not a comparison. That’s just an observation
