No rooting here. But there's something about a politician using the reach of a platform to argue that no one else should ever get to use that platform again. This is a bit of what Nietzsche called decadence

I don't think her position is that Facebook shouldn't exist, but that Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp should not be the same company. Which I am pretty indifferent about.

Fair enough. And I think indifferent is the right attitude. But that just raises the question of why the government needs to be spending time, effort and political capital on the "meh." And she's still using FB to (soft) demagogue against FB

Demagoguery has more in common with itself than any specific political ideology. Which is what has always vexed me about Warren. She's very obviously a technocrat but chooses to ramp up the signaling. Who knows? Maybe it's good politics, which is why I stay away from politics
