Again: literally impossible. Every Iowa caucusgoer heard the results of their caucus before they left their caucus site tonight. It's only the sum total that's unknown. Not a single delegate will or can be fudged.

I’ll tell you this, the attendance counter app *may* have failed but having personally witnessed the entire caucus process, the votes themselves are recorded, backed up by paper records, and were certified by multiple witnesses. We WILL have reliable results-eventually

Everything was done on paper in an easily human-readable form before being entered in the software. It would be easy to audit results.

Also FWIW precinct chair did not seem to have problems with the software, as has been reported elsewhere.

In our precinct, Biden finished first with largest number of caucusers and delegates, followed by Pete, and then Klobuchar, Warren and Bernie in that order.

First time attending an Iowa caucus. I still think it’s a crazy way to pick a candidate, but it was the most civil, heartening exercise in democracy that I could have imagined. Neighbors respectfully talking with neighbors, actually persuading one another.

This is the senatorial equivalent of jury nullification. Sure, you proved he did beyond a reasonable doubt, but we the jury are choosing to opt out of your process.

Preside, from Webster's 1828 dictionary (as close to a contemporaneous source as we'll get): "To be set over for the exercise of authority; to direct, control and govern, as the chief officer." How does that not extend to breaking ties?

Gosh, it would be super helpful if Senator Murkowski had one of 100 votes in the Senate. Then she might be able to actually do something.

TBH, I'm kind of impressed that they can still shock me with the brazenness of these lies.

Hopelessness is the enemy of justice. Don’t boo, vote.

It is remarkable that in the end republics are destroyed not by external invasion but by cowardice and self-interest cloaked in the forms of law. As important as it is, the rule of law without honor and courage is meaningless.

It would be inappropriate to remove the President for cheating in an election because we have to leave that decision up to the American people in the election he is going to cheat in. You see how that works?

I'm baffled by this argument that impeachment can't be countenanced because it would overturn an election. Why...do people think they included it in the Constitution?

Why did the Framers of the Constitution go through the trouble of specifying that the Chief Justice will "preside" over impeachment if he's nothing but a glorified court clerk? Surely this was meant to be a substantive role that could make rulings on evidence and witnesses.

Honestly, it’ll forget them entirely, which is why they act this way. Most know that they are nonentities whose fleeting significance comes only from their office now, and the petty deference it gets them. And they’re happy to sacrifice their honor to keep it just a little longer

Adam Schiff’s performance so far has been truly extraordinary. His words today will be recorded in books decades from now, whatever the result.

The profound dishonesty and circularity of this Cipollone opening argument is a thing to behold.
