    Friday brings Chance for Thunder Showers to Twin Cities between 10am & 4pm but nothing Heavy or Long Lasting. Cloud & Sun Mix Friday with Breezy NW Winds 10-20 mph & highs low to mid 60s. Saturday starts Cool in 40s then highs in upper 60s. Highs in 70s Sunday-Thursday.

    Today is last official day of Summer 2021 and odds for +90 degree temperatures in Twin Cities is diminishing but 90s have occurred as late as October 10, 1928 at 90 degrees. Long Range Patterns now thru October 10 show temperatures mainly above average so maybe 1 more 90!

    Few People from Scott & Dakota Counties of Twin Cities contacted KSTP about why No Outdoor Sirens during 3 quick Small Tornadoes 3am Friday. Scott/Dakota Counties were under Severe T-Storm Warning but didn’t meet criteria to sound Outdoor Sirens before Tornadoes occurred.

    26 days this Summer in Twin Cities have been +90 degrees and Sunday could make 27 days above 90. T-Storms some Strong with Gusty Winds and Heavy Rainfall Monday is followed by Cooler highs in 60s and lows in 40s rest of the week. Last time low dropped into 40s was in May.

    Very Nice Saturday for Twin Cities with Sunshine, Southeast Winds at 5 to 15 mph and highs in mid to upper 70s. Sunday will be Warmer but Windy with South Winds at 15 to 30 mph and highs in mid to upper 80s. T-Storms Monday afternoon & some possibly Strong. Cooler Tue-Fri.

    There was a lot of downburst damage from the south metro to Hudson WI. Most was downburst but three tornadoes were verified where damage was especially concentrated - Savage, Apple Valley, & ne Burnsville. All are rated EF0. Other damage will still be investigated

    Tornado Watch until 12am Friday for areas from Little Falls to Brainerd, Mille Lacs, Iron Range and Duluth areas. Tornado Threat will be now until 8pm Little Falls/Brainerd area and 9pm-11pm Duluth area. Twin Cities will see TStorms with Frequent Lightning after 1am Friday.
