That Trump and his associates trying to steal an election is drawing such little attention or condemnation should concern everyone. We’re living in a situation that is absolutely ripe for authoritarianism.

The President of the United States called a governor and asked him to overturn the results of a free and fair election to try and maintain power. People. It’s a coup. Period. It may not work, but it doesn’t change the fact or that an entire party is just fine with this madness.

Attempted coups don't make it any less criminal because they're not successful. People are indicted for attempted murder--the same should apply here.
