Beginning this morning at 11AM, the City of New Orleans Department of Sanitation will allow residents to dispose of bagged household garbage at the Elysian Fields Transfer Station
This will be free of charge, temporarily, while our sanitation contractor capacity increases.
Starting Aug. 16, everyone in New Orleans age 12+ must show proof of at least 1 dose of a #COVID vaccine or a negative PCR test within the last 72 hours to do activities with a higher risk of transmission. This is in addition to the indoor mask mandate.
