    My colleague on Texas' abusive anti-immigrant policies and Biden administration's failure to stop it.

    Gov. 's Operation Lone Star has led to unlawful activity by government and law enforcement on a systemic basis, including civil rights abuses. It's also fomenting dangerous xenophobia, the likes of which have spurred violent attacks before.

    because this bill establishes the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans. The commission shall examine slavery and discrimination in the colonies and the United States from 1619 to the present and recommend appropriate remedies.

    This week's arrest in Ukraine of Denis Kulikovsky, aka “Palych,” who allegedly oversaw the notorious torture prison in Donetsk is a huge step towards justice. There are numerous allegations of his direct involvement in torture, killing of civilians.

    JUST FILED - Montgomery County, Pa's practice of automatically jailing virtually everyone charged with probation or parole violations--and confining them for months without a hearing--is harmful, unnecessary, and counterproductive. So & sued.

    Probation and parole are tools intended to help people avoid incarceration. But in Montgomery County, virtually every person accused of violating the terms of their supervision was automatically incarcerated, often for months on end. So we're suing.

    cops don't have to wear badges to be cops. "outreach workers" who make false promises to unhoused folks so that the cops with the guns and badges can evict people and steal or destroy their belongings are still cops.

    Not long after this "outreach," LA Sanitation and LAPD came and threw all of those tents into the trash, then put up a fence around that sidewalk.

    This is a must read thread everyone. the PRKs are all slated for upcoming closure and each person has a time limit in PRK anyways. One big problem, as usual, is the lack of permanent solutions. Thanks
