        I think they agreed to change it after Kevin spoke extensively about it and his final chances @Wimbledon were practically ruined. Not taking anything away from John....but the final this year was not of a good standard with one player being compromised after such a long semi.

        Thank goodness!! 🎾 As enjoyable and exciting as it was to watch those marathon 5th sets, at a certain point it became physically, viscerally painful - for the viewer!!! Can’t imagine what it felt like for all of you!! “The Isner Rule” rules!

        I remember John also had no legs for following match. He was spent. Good rule prevents possible injury to tired players. John had another long match this year with Kevin Anderson.
