You don't find a contradiction in cold air warming a warm solid? Really? I have a couple of dm³ of gasoline at hand. What's your answer? It's for the chainsaw, so 2% two stroke oil. Extra juicy.

The Sun heats the Earth. Objects can effect temp without being a heat source.

Yeah, if they provide a force that does work. Only heat and work can raise temperature. Sun heats the Earth, yes. Not co2.

Does insulation provide heat or work than? GHG doesn't "heat". It increases the efficiency of the Sun's heat by impeding it's escape.

Insulation doesn't warm, it doesn't raise temperature. It prevents cooling. If you insulate a heated body, it's power supply is still the same. But less heat is transferred. To get heating you need increased power. And, of course, ghg:s doesn't insulate, they do the opposite.

Make a campfire on a cold day, stand 10 ft away, and measure air temp. Now do the same but build an encclosure around it and measure the air temp. The enclosure will cause a higher temp reading even though it's not a heat source. This shouldn't be so hard for you.

Oh, you think the atmosphere is an enclosure? That's your problem right there, it has no walls. Try this: put a rock next to a fire, let it heat up. Then pour saltwater on it, then blow air on it with a compressor. That's what we observe on Earth.

The atmosphere is absolutely an enclosure... It surrounds the Earth. It's not rigid if that's what you mean. It is a literal enclosure though.pic.twitter.com/eld17BWetr

Would you say that a hot rock laying in the sunshine on the ground is in an enclosure?

Sorry. Misread your statement. Though you asked if the rock was an enclosure. Yes the rock is an enclosure, out atmosphere. Go stand on the moon and you'll be begging for our atmosphere to enclose you.
