Just spent 3 hours editing my 3 Kings video for next week. Uploaded it and immediately got 2 copyright claims. It is just the music that the floats are playing as they go by! So I can't use my soundtrack then? Ridiculous. @YouTube @youtubemusic @YTCreators @TeamYouTube

Yes - you have to watch out for that. I had to re-edit a video of some flamenco dancing girls in Spain once for the same reason & when I did the comic con video with all the dancing in it, I spent hours editing the dance sequence so that all the clips with music were under 4 secs

It is very annoying as it means I can't use the part where the Kings on camels went past us and all the kids were shouting out "Hola Reyes". The music was bloody awful anyway and isn't worthy of copyrighting!

:-( I remember exactly what that feels like. Intensely frustrating after you’ve put all the work in. If you’re anything like me, though, you won’t do it again! X

I was at a sports bar in El Cotillo on a Sunday when the Spanish football was on TV. I didn't use the video sound but just did a very quick zoom into a TV with a caption saying "What's a football hater like me doing in a bar like this" and I got a copyright strike from La Liga!

Oh blimey! I’m surprised about that one. I’m wondering if it’ll get worse with article 13.

Well it won't get better.
