Hamza bin Walayat has received death threats from family in Pakistan for being an apostate. Our home office will deport him back because he can’t be a Humanist for not knowing about Aristotle and Plato. Support efforts for justice.

Just watched the Nazi pug video. I found it offensive, not humourlessly done. I cannot condone it, it was awful. Yet criminality cannot be based on whether it hits a funnybone or is beyond the pale of decency. The court of public opinion is where free speech should rule on it.

I think someone is fed up with inviting a choir to police functions ... don’t see why they couldn’t have women mixing in and practising till numbers ready for a performance.

Having a daughter with autism meant I never had that choice because care work is not valued or paid. If you call campaigning for equality in those circumstances a choice then maybe it is. The alternative was depression and loss. So not really a choice.

The government's handling of the fallout this week has been embarrassing, particularly on the part of Boris Johnson. To infer from such incompetency that the government is at the head of a multifaceted and sophisticated conspiracy is odd, to put it politely.

A scientifically literate citizenship is necessary to deal with public policy decisions. Now, it seems foreign policy too. Maybe change to scientific literacy needed to be a citizen in modern world.

What the hell ... how any teacher can force a pupil to pray before dismissing them and tell a child they are going to hell for being gay. Glad tribunal upheld dismissal.

Those that want discord, hatred and violence to tear us apart want every single day to punish Muslims. The far right hate them, religious extremists want to use them. Our humanity is what makes us one and when we start to factionalise ourselves, sectarianism will punish us all.
