I get fans might want Rivera over Lewis. Rivera has sterling reputation and a Super Bowl appearance. But in 9 years w Panthers, he won 54 percent of his games. In 16 years in Cincy, Lewis won 51 percent. 6 times Lewis won 10 or more games.

This will get unfairly knocked, but Marvin is a great stepping stone coach. Can take a bad franchise and make them competitive. A lot of Lewis' issues came after teams started poaching his assistants after success.

Yep. Built a great staff and won in Cincy, which is damn hard. 6 times 10 or more wins in 16 years. Skins fans don’t realize it but they’d love that level of success.

He’s a much better coach than Skins fans give him credit for. The Bengals were the laughingstock of the league (the Bungles) before he arrived. He also gave some structure to the Skins in ‘02 when Spurrier was clueless. The wheels fell off here in ‘03 when he went to Cincy

Regardless, this would be the least inspiring hire and would leave skins fans just as frustrated with Snyder. He needs a big name or innovative coach to bring hope

Lewis would appease exactly 0% of the fan base. Started out great in Cincinnati and then took them nowhere for 10 years.

I might be in the minority, but I would love a Marvin Lewis hire. Don't think he really ever had the QB to take him to the next level, Haskins (along with the tutelage of KOC) can be that.

True no doubt koc got the offence looking flowing better httr
