Well, if they're legally a platform, then they do have to uphold free speech. If they're a publisher, then they don't. They need to clearly make this distinction.

Ur right, but the funny thing is...in many media measurement tools (digital or cross platform) they are mainly categorized as publishers. The two terms in the field as always used interchangeably. Sadly it’s like they can have their cake and eat it too.

The first amendment actually protects YouTube here. YouTube as a private entity can deny associating with crowder, Shapiro etc.
