When you see what @MarvelStudios have done with the Avengers, and accompanying films, and then see what @Disney have done to Star Wars...well, the difference in quality is staggering IMO.

I think you make a good point, however, for me, it was not that Luke was changed from the original incarnation, it was what they turned him into that I did not like, and the fact the movie itself was cheesy. I have become immersed into the MCU and I was never really a comic guy.
Rather than being too down on Disney, I really want to focus on what an amazing and incredible job Marvel Studios have done with the MCU.
