I'm not even mad I'm sort of just... stupefied. It's been years since anyone was openly racist towards me (at least TSA agents are subtle about it) but I guess southern Ontario is a whole other being.

HAHA holy shit this hair stylist, as soon as I walk in and tell her my name to be put on the list, corrects my own name pronunciation (wtf) and asks me if I have an accent and just waits to see if I do. Casual racism is like sauron, just when you think it's gone...

Americans tend to pronounce my name correctly the first time, funny enough. Far better track record than canucks on that front, from my experience
