I find it really frustrating when people frame challenging misinformation as negativity. I don't want to be a party pooper, that's why I always try and inject humour into these things. But I think that it's important that incorrect narratives are held to account.

From the author of ‘what if’ comes another classic with scientific answers to common problems. Learn how to make friends (Ch 18), throw things (Ch 10), & dig a hole (Ch 3); non-related. And of course, the all-important chapter 28. 4: how to by – mjesto: Blk 424, Serangoon Central

TIL that the turbinate bones of bears & lions varied in their structures! Wish I knew that during my days as a demonstrator for ’s first-year skull practicals. The students always enjoyed the random skull trivia I threw their way.

A lifer for me, a spotted house gecko (Gekko monarchus) found just under my apartment block. Somewhat larger & more boldly patterned than the common house gecko, this species is not restricted to urban areas and can be found in forests too. – mjesto: Blk 424, Serangoon Central

Went for a spot of bug hunting last evening & found this very sun-dried anuran. Given its size, dorsal markings, broad skull, and bony facial ridges, I *think* this might be an Asian common toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus). – mjesto: Blk 424, Serangoon Central

Been noticing that the Javan mynahs around my area are really adept at catching insects on the wing. Has this been always a thing that I have not seen, or is it something these have learnt rather recently? 🤔
