This is egregious and must be struck down: a private court bringing a case against a human rights lawyer because he was successful in holding to account for their crimes in Ecuador. And it's also part of a pattern of excessive sentences for people fighting ecocide.

This is all part of a pattern of the hard criminalization of environmental lawyers and activists. At the worst end, many are hurt and even murdered for their advocacy. Follow and support their work.
