It was via the yt app. I watched several videos however and the ad appeared multiple times in each.

If you come across the ad again, please share the video URL with us. This would help us investigate the issue better, thanks!

Do you want the name of the ad, or the name of the video that I am watching.

Not for now, you can send those details to us if it happens again. It's up to the owner of the channel to decide to include skippable or non-skippable ads. More info here: https://goo.gl/gzqSfC . And feel free to send feedback directly from YouTube about this particular format!

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. An ad starts. It says on the side in a box, skip in 5,4,3,2,1 and then Skip Ad is visible on the right of the screen. Clicking skip ad, in some instances, does nothing. Is that how it appears if the creator doesn’t allow skipping

That's odd! What device does this happen on? Also, could you share a screenshot next time if you see this happening again? Keep us posted.

On my iPad. I’m not sure how I can send you a screen shot of an ad not skipping though.

Thanks for the info. Just to confirm, have you tried deleting the app, restarting your device and reinstalling it to see if it makes any difference? Let us know.

Oh ok. Please send a feedback report directly from YouTube with these steps: https://goo.gl/WdI0BK . While every individual report may not get a direct response, we do review everything and use the details to investigate and fix issues. Thanks.

Just now I’m watching TySy Tube Restoration channel, 1957 army helmet restoration. An ad came on for Doors Plus. It said skip in 5 seconds but wouldn’t allow skipping. The ad played in full and had a box saying contact us in the middle of the screen for a second before ending.
