I don't believe this whole 20s are the best years of your life, thing. And that the rest of your life gets worst. I fundamentally believe that the best years of my life are ahead of me, as long as, each year, I live more intentionally and authentically than the year before.

A lot of men don't realise that they are going to end up alone, regrettably alone, if they continue to treat people badly. I work with a lot of older men who regret their former young playboy lifestyle, but have damaged lives irreparably.

Both hands in this picture are men's. We really do this to ourselves. We create the standard of male behaviour that inhibits and oppresses us, and we also reinforce it. So it's up to us to do the work and free ourselves.

You lot have been more critical about Labour's manifesto than you have about the actual Tory government the last decade. Given everything that's happened, Windrush, Grenfell, NHS, are you not embarrassed?

You know what love is, me and my missus not been feeling great today. So I bought her something on my way home, and she bought me something on the way home. And we surprised each other with the treat not knowing. I think, I think that's it man.

Original Black love stories please. No more re-telling white stories with Black faces, I'm fed up.

Literally everyone: end knife crime by funding youth services and creating provisions and interventions that help young people escape crime and poverty. Home Office: ok, but hear us out, how about chicken boxes with stories? 🤦🏿‍♂️ You hate to see it.

We are rolling out our #KnifeFree chicken boxes in over 210 chicken shops in England and Wales, including Morley’s, Dixy Chicken and Chicken Cottage. They use real life stories to show people how they can go #KnifeFree.

This why I say luxury is a myth and is nothing but classism, consumerism and exclusivity. Not actually about the place or product itself.

He's a billionaire who decided the best way to fight crime was to dress up and go after petty criminals, rather than redistribute his wealth and create a sustainable jobs, education and training programme, which is proven to reduce crime. He's no hero, he's the corrupt elite. t.co/kV74AnFxSE

Before you ask someone to reveal their past traumas or mental health issues on the first date, ask yourself if youre providing a safe space for them to do so? What purpose are you asking them? How will you support them if your question triggers certain traumas? Also, don't ask.

You do realise that this is BWs reaction after years and years of sacrificing themselves for Black men, and getting nothing in return, right? Right? What else do you expect?

I think at some point you come to the realisation that everyone is fundamentally flawed, you just to make a choice of which flaws you are willing to accept.

Btw, the xenophobia and gender based violence (in South Africa) are two sides of the same coin. They are connected, part of the hierarchical structure, that when Black men can't punch upwards at their oppressors, they punch down at those they consider beneath them.

I do not like this photo. Why must the burden of humanity, of kindness, of compassion, be on the oppressed? Brother is surrounded by police, and racists, yet if he left the guy bleeding on the floor, he would be seen as the bad one.

The demonisation of African spirituality and traditions is on of the most overlooked, yet most impactful and destructive aspects of colonialism. It removed us from ourselves, and our ancestors, in so many ways.

And yes, it's not just Black men, because this is also a patriarchal issue in all races/cultures, but not all of them have to deal with the added burdens of white supremacist violence, colourism and Anti-Blackness too. Literally, Black women aren't even asking for much.

What I find beautiful about Africa/n and diasporic culture, is that we all pretty much do variations of the same thing but call it something different. We have traces of each other where ever we go, whether it's food, clothes, art, music. Culture really is our connection.

London is home. But it's difficult to love home when you are at odds with it. When it takes more from you than you can give. I mean, how many of us are out here running on empty? Is it not strange to us that we have to leave home to feel restored?

Women/Feminists have been the biggest advocators for male mental health (often bigger than men). The issue of suicide among men was raised by feminists. We can't blame women for a patriarchal system that men created and continue to uphold. The math is not mathing. t.co/fBPjDviNq0
