For many decades, it has never been a big deal to have to show proof of Yellow Fever vaccination before traveling to different countries in Africa (& S America). Ideology has led to idiocy re vaccination in 21st C.

Did you see the Bhattacharya/Kulldorff op-ed in the WSJ? They explicitly say that people in support passports are worse than anti-vaxxers. Blown away https://www.wsj.com/articles/vaccine-passports-prolong-lockdowns-11617726629 …pic.twitter.com/TlSCQG4QkX

I’m unshocked that those who have worked to spread Covid so far aren’t done yet.

I have some concerns over privacy and whether it would be ethical to essentially compel someone to get vaccinated in order to participate in certain social activities. That said, I’ve had a vaccine record for most of my life and I’m still here and free to tell the story.

My local paper published an op Ed explicitly comparing them to Nazi Germany which was then modified to “a totalitarian state” I hope this explains why I refuse to read my local paper

You should write for your local paper! You’d be great at it! Plus, better you than that “totalitarian state” person, right?

I really think we have to separate the people who *can't* (yet) get the vaccine from those who *won't*. It's entirely reasonable to be kind with the former and firm with the latter. The question is, logistically, how to approach this.

The number of cants should fall to almost zero by summer.

Like so you really want to get on a cruise ship (a virus Petri dish far away from hospitals) w/o being vaccinated and knowing everyone else is vaccinated?

Because the real reason they're afraid of them has nothing to do with their arguments against them. IMO the real motive is fear that passports will motivate enough people to get vaccinated to stop the pandemic. This will kill the grifting of the leaders and show they were wrong.
