To my knowledge, Dr. Ernst is the only person who has made a career out of debunking pseudoscience. I am sure there are others. For others, it is a hobby of sorts, like playing an instrument or learning a foreign language.https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Edzard_Ernst

You make fewer friends along the way that is certain, but integrity and trust is really hard to earn back if you lose it. Honesty is key, pseudo is simply a knowledge gap, however we can’t neglect empathy as educators, we must attempt to see their side.
