also: he's destroying the case for using sanctions as foreign policy. Entire goal of sanctions is to secure deals. If we don't get deals, we might as well eat all the pistachios and burn all the oil Iran is willing to send us.
By ending the Iran deal, Trump is attacking the very idea that the U.S. is capable of reaching diplomatic solutions to conflicts, making it harder to negotiate peacefully in the future. I wonder if that's been the conservative long-game all along.
