May’s press conference made clear that she is now, essentially, in a game of chicken with the Commons. She’s calculating that ultimately enough MPs will blink and vote for her deal to get it through. It is a very big gamble

She is totally deluded ... the more I read the capitulation, the worse it gets. Scary part is that the text is totally at odds with what comes out of her mouth. She is shaming our nation.

Read the text of the agreement (skip the first 200-odd pages) and it gets even worse. The language expressing what the United Kingdom can and cannot do is extraordinary. On first run through, I don't remember seeing any similar constraints on the Union. CJEU has so much to do.

It was an odd thing to do but consistent with the September speech where she was cross with them all for rudeness, only to accept the dispiriting content of the draft agreement after all.
Especially since she has no real political sense (I mean sensitivity to politics).

That might have worked had she not spent two years telling everyone who would listen that "no deal is better than a bad deal".
