    Queues for bus replacements stretching from the shopping centre, through the station approach, down the platform, in the underpass, up to the bus entrance. Staff reckoned few thousand were in Preston station.

    I do Barrow-London train weekly and every week there are delays, trains not turning up, problems on the line, Euston shutting down, etc etc. But today at Preston was crazy.
