She has a point, the Catholic church is multimillionaire, in money, pieces of art, architecture, etc. Every time a church is destroyed, it is the faithful who raise it again.

Catholic Church doesn’t own Notre Dame. It belongs to the French Republic and City of Paris is paying for all renovations of churchs, temples, synagogues in the city. This is not new. Of course, the cost for Notre Dame is far above the city capability..
