“Baby it’s cold outside” playing in RiteAid ... can nothing stop this creepy song from being in a Christmas mix?

It's actually not a creepy song at all. Really. "What's in this drink?" is her way of sarcastically saying, "Oh well, guess I'm too drunk to go home," because she actually wants to stay but is worried about being judged.

Wait, does this sound like I'm mansplaining Christmas songs? I'm just excited to share this info because I thought the song was pretty rapey for a long time before recently being given this other perspective. Now I like it again.

An accapella version by Roy Moore, Bill O'Reilly, Al Franken, Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer?

We live in different times than when songs like that were written.

Not you, too. The song is not creepy. It's just two people flirting, for god's sake. She wants to stay as much as he wants her to. (Listen to the lyrics.) And please don't cite "hey, what's in this drink." It's not anything unseemly. Good grief, we're losing our minds.

Agreed, totally creepy. And the line in that Santa Claus Is Coming To Town song "if you sit on my lap today, a kiss a toy is the price you pay?" Yeah, nothing creepy about that.
