@arasin @ra I'm not expecting Xcode for iPad at all.. That doesn't seem like Apple, they like to differentiate their platforms

@JFKingsley @ra The Xcode change feels “Hey everyone, learn to program your iPad”. Not a major leap to “learn to program on your iPad”.

@arasin @ra And yet, have you ever tried to write code on an iPad? Without a keyboard it's a pain, not to mention compilers on ARM..

@JFKingsley @ra Agreed. Not unsolvable problems, though. “Xcode for iPad” is a stretch, but “Make iPad apps on the iPad”? Totally plausible.

@JFKingsley so what is the deal? Is it a real app install, or something hobbled like an RDP session that mostly runs tethered to the Mac?

@JFKingsley In other words, you could have open source apps you can compile yourself - even if license incompatible with the store?

@DogeMocenigo Yes. It’s massive in terms of potential apps that use Private API’s or even Jailbreaks that require an app on the device
