    3. The selected ASIC manufacturer (if this route is chosen) should be independent from the development team and community to reduce the potential conflict of interest. 4. Specify an eventual PoW change in the future to give many manufactures time to develop ASICs.

    Other considerations: 1. Small coins adopting PoW algorithms used by other larger coins with many ASIC manufacturers. 2. PoW upgrades don't have to split the community. There's strong evidence 's v6 forks received no significant attention, developers, or other expertise.
