This is sad but when I was about 10 I would make cigarette runs to Mireles Gro. for my neighbor. A pack of Marlboro Lights was $1.25. She'd give me 50¢ for the errand. I'd come back with a pack of cigs, some blow pops and a pickle.

That would be the Bengal store. There’s been a tendajo there since my childhood days and that’s almost 60 years ago. I think Camacho was the owner’s name. He would sell on credit.
