We have int’l treaty and statutory obligations (INA §208 & 241) to allow people to seek asylum. To those that argue that immigrants aren’t coming the “legal” way, there are laws that govern this. It’s Trump who is circumventing the laws passed by Congress, not asylum seekers.
Legality aside, we need to recognize the humanity of immigrants. Whatever their nationality is, they are human, and the irresponsible, racist, and anti-immigrant policies are causing human suffering just so Trump can pump up his base.
Oh well if a liberal professor says it. ....not
We have known that from the first moment...but we musn`t forget the plight of our refugee brothers and sisters- and THEY ARE that- and not cease to help however possible. We have more in common with the refugees than we will ever have with the Fake President & his cronies.
