Congrats to Judge Kavanaugh and deep appreciation for Senators who supported him. Leader McConnell & Chairman Grassley showed outstanding leadership. Judge Kavanaugh has been tested by fire and proved himself to be everything we expected and more. He'll be another great justice.

Up to now, the judicial noms process has been running smoothly & exceptional example of cooperation between the White House and GOP Sens. Thanks to Sen Jeff Flake, the lame duck session is turning out to be a disappointment on the noms front.

My latest update on judicial nomination progress at The good news: 84 confirmed, record appellate confirmations, cloture filed on two more noms. The bad: 158 vacancies to go, higher than when Trump took office. Here's to a busy lame duck!

Thank you, Don McGahn, for your service to our country. No administration since the advent of modern constitutional debate has had a more impressive track record on judicial nominations than the Trump administration under your stewardship. 84 excellent judges and counting!

. was reasoned, thoughtful, courageous, and showed great concern for the process. That’s exactly what a senator should do. She is doing the right thing by voting to confirm Judge Kavanaugh who is one of the most qualified judges in history.

NEW from : "The supplemental background investigation found absolutely zero corroboration of the allegations that have been made. I plan to vote for Judge Kavanaugh and believe he will be confirmed very soon."

Grassley went the extra mile to be thorough, transparent, and fair to everyone involved in this process. The unprecedented supplemental FBI report found nothing of significance to corroborate the current allegations; 0 evidence, 0 corroboration. End the circus. Confirm Kavanaugh.

Dr. Ford is now saying she talked to "people on the beach" about the assault and Kavanaugh this summer. She says they encouraged her to go to the media. Previously, she said she only told the story to her therapist and her husband. Another major discrepancy.

How was Dr. Ford not aware of an offer for Committee staff to come to her in California instead of requiring her to fly to DC for a hearing when it was clearly stated to her lawyers and widely reported in the press?

Not true. The further examination I referred to is the SJC asking Avenatti to submit any corroborating evidence they have, something they asked for days ago and he has yet to do. Our ads are still up and we still fully support Judge Kavanaugh and look forward to his confirmation.

True, Senate nomination hearings are not legal proceedings. But that’s not the point. The presumption of innocence applies to the courtroom setting precisely because it is how we think about decency and fairness in our broader culture and society.
