I didn’t make my point to negate the voices of the women’s that are the victims. It is important that we continue to uplift their voices. I’m here for it.

However, in order for us to deal with this we have to tackle the roots. What was the cause that led this situation occurring.

Therefore, I’m not denying what he did was wrong. What he did was WRONG point blank and the period. I’m just curious about the why. Good night.

You could use this opportunity to speak on it. Or support Terry Crews and other victims when they speak on their experiences.
-
when you get an opportunity, check out my research that I conducted that is located in my pinned tweets. I’m creating a space for us to talk about it just waiting for our society to catch on.
-
These types of tweets only ever pop up when women are discussing their experiences with sexual assault. Not only does it come off disingenuous it also comes off like you’re trying to silence this discussion. this rkelly conversation is one women have been trying to have for years
-
Yes and it’s important but I’m tackling the root of the issues that can prevent this from happening to women. It’s time that we deconstruct toxic masculinity and this patriarchal society. I agree with what you’re saying.
-
But right now just isn't the time for that. These women have been waiting to voice what they've gone through. Give them a safe space first to express their pain.
-
I agree with that but I also don’t think there’s anything wrong in trying to understand the root of the problem while the subject is at hand. Regardless of who this is happening to it’s wrong and if we don’t address it now then when is a good time to?
-
Men can definitely open up about sexual abuse. However, there are many times that men can speak on it, why must it be after every time women speak out?

Who’s stopping you from talking about that?
-
I think he means when will Black women bring it up and do all the work for them lol
-
I been talking about the abuse of black men ever since the Terry Crews cane fourth with his story.
-
So here's the thing. Us talking about Black women and girls go through, doesn't stop you all from doing the work, nor does it serve as a barrier to your work getting attention. I just find it peculiar that EVERY TIME we talk about Black men abusing Black women and girls...
-
Like I said every time I tried talking about it to start a conversation. It doesn’t get any traction on here.
-
But that's not on us. You got Black men out there literally making fun of Terry Crews, calling him weak, gay, etc. You all need to do the work to get traction on this, and we will support you. but we are not doing this work for you.
-
I'll say this. WE ARE NOT GONNA BE QUIET ON ORDER FOR YOUR WORK TO GET TRACTION. So you gonna have to brainstorm or form stronger coalitions with other men, or something.

would love to see this point brought up on its own accord instead of always in reaction to women speaking out.
-
This point should’ve been made when Terry Crews spoke up abt his sexual assault but it was meet with “You’re a big guy why didn’t you just fight back?” Or completely dismissed mainly by other men seeing as Terry is fully supportive of the the
