    Everyone deserves to live in a safe, clean, affordable home. Public housing can provide that, but NYCHA needs money. That's why I'm calling on Albany to step it up. Thank you to Council Member & the amazing public housing advocates for your work on this issue.

    Public housing is vital to addressing homelessness, both in the short- and long-term. Today, I proudly stood with advocates to demand that the State provide NYC’s public housing system with the money it desperately needs.

    ICYMI: On Saturday, announced support for the Repeal statute! Thank you, Governor for your leadership. We look forward to it getting done this session and helping to reduce violence against black & brown trans & cis women!

    I've long supported ending this discriminatory statute, and I'm happy our governor is on board too. It's outrageous that the trans community was unfairly targeted under the old law, and the faster this gets fixed the better. Walking while trans is a human right, not a crime.
