Policing speech is a slippery slope and never a two-way street. What ever happened to the saying "sticks and stones...?" Words are wind. Nothing Steven Crowder said was a call to violence and therefore is protected free speech. You may not like it, but why let it hurt you?

Sticks and stones was always a dumbass phrase. Psychology has taught us the long-term detrimental effects of words and harrassment has on people and groups.

Weak people, perhaps. People who were never taught to have strong character and not let the words of others negatively affect them. How about we stop seeing ourselves as victims and take responsibility for our feelings?

Do you think oppressed people don't do that already. Do you think black people just whine about being racially profiled and just can't hack it anymore? Do you think trans people just get attacked daily and can't cope and freak out all time? Do you not think everyday that they

as people internalize push away those feelings of unwantedness and shunning from their minds and try to live the best life that they can? Publicly addressing discrimination as a minority is anything but weak.

There will always be people who disagree with you or people who you see as enemies. That's life. How you react to those influences in your life is what defines you.

Yeah, and I would argue that defending yourself and your class against those people is the right way to react. You don't just internalize it, and let their hate go unchallenged.

I mean his thread and analysis is correct. YouTube will likely do nothing to defend lgbt people from a guy who attacks that identity often despite them championing their bonafides. Crowder has broken community guidelines and should be at the least demonetized.

How has he broken community guidelines? I'm still at a loss for how you think he's attacking the lgbt community. I get it, you don't like the guy. But he's done nothing wrong. People who follow him may have, including the one who did the doxxing. But that is all.
