Let's stop saying withdrawal. It is a violation of the deal. America is violating an agreement it negotiated. Willingly and blatantly. We have no grounds to withdraw.

You do. One of the main terms of the deal was for Iran to fully disclose their military nuclear program and its progress. Their bluntly lied on record, thus violating the deal

Maybe tell your 18 followers that you have not read the JCPOA. If you had, you would know what you have said is not correct.

I have a possibly dumb question that I’m sure is easily answered, but I can’t seem to find a confirmation. Did Iran ever sign the JCPOA? I know that may be irrelevant, but I am curious.

the agreement did get symbolically signed by the foreign ministers of all negotiating states, including Iran. Signing, however, does not have a legal standing. It was approved by the Iranian Majlis, if that is what you are looking for?

Thank you, that answers my question. I had seen that mentioned as a legal way out of the deal, but clearly that is incorrect. Thanks for the confirmation there

        1) Things done by executive whims can be undone by executive whims. Get Congress to sign on the dotted line next time. 2) Iran is constructing facilities to purposely prevent inspection from outside agencies. Your naivete is painful.

Military sites can be inspected undet JCPOA and IAEA inspection plan. Yes I know Iran and FDD say they can’t but the terms of the deal are the terms of the deal - any site, even military can be inspected. Oh wait, no they can’t because we just pulled out. Explain that logic?

Trump and his Admin are incapable of building or negotiating anything. They have produced nothing. Iran is off to the races.

Didn’t the administration go out of its way to not call it a treaty knowing it didn’t have the votes. Believe they said it “reflected political commitments”

It is not a treaty. 2/3 of Senate would not have approved. However, US has no right to reimpose sanctions unless Iran violates the deal which they have not. Hence, we are in violation.
