  4. Today is celebrated as George Washington’s bday, but it isn’t really! In 1752, the colonies switched from the Julian to the Gregorian Calendar and had to skip 11 days in September to make it work. Washington moved his bday from 2/11 to 2/22 that year and just kept it!
